She's not bored. She's an idiot. She seemed to think she was paying me a compliment.
[People's ideas of compliments were dumb. And the misconception that he somehow wanted them were even dumber. Lilith hadn't been the only one to piss him off but boy she did it the best.
He simply rolls his eyes.]
I reminded her of her place. That seemed to at least get through to her thick skull.
[He'll deal with her later if she gets in his way again. Or if she just happens to die near enough that he can grab her gem.
Gary brings his attention back to the war table with all the little soldiers.]
Right! [ Bonnie claps her hands, all of the soldiers all set in a few groups. A few of them stand alone, with circles around them. There's a large amount of smaller pink soldiers on a drawing of a small looking town, one orange soldier on a giant snowflake, and finally: four yellow soldiers with black Xs on them, alongside one red figure on a big city. Dead center between the big and small city is a soldier in blue.
Off to the side is another darker blue one that looks like it's been hacked up a little, and one that seems to be completely white. The other, insignificant ones are all black, and there aren't that many. ]
Interject whenever you want, but I need to sort this mess out. This is just the easiest way I know how.
I don't think I have to explain it too deep. These guys in the small town, that's us. A ton of us, but apparently not too big on the totem pole. Then, there's Cyborg Xpress over here in the big city. Four of them, able to protect a city that big. The red one, that's another magi I met in town. Kaneko Kouzai. And right here between those groups?
[ She lightly taps on the pristine blue soldier's head. ]
Sachiko Hatsu.
[ She turns her attention away from her, walking over to grab onto the red soldier's head. ]
Kouzai told me something really interesting a day or so ago. She told me anyone who really gets deep into Sachiko's business? They don't usually come out of it. Hatsu's apparently got a hell of a list of magi that've gone down because of her in some way.
Sounds to me that either she has an army behind her, or she's just able to cause that much trouble, huh? I mean. Think of it this way. The girl can't fight, but she had these four as backup. Now I might not be too much of a tactician, but it's way easier to get info on a group if you have your four do your work for you. But take those four away--
[ And she does, leaving the red magi in the city, and sliiightly pushing Sachiko towards the Nyoi-cho magi. ]
You've got another group ready to die, or even kill for you out of some kind of screwed up sense of obligation. With me so far?
[ It was a hell of a stark change. At least to her it was. She was a hell of a lot nicer and easier to talk to before she got that charm back-- which wasn't surprising. ]
I can't tell you if she's back to being all there, buuut she's a lot more with it than the others in town. She knows about the magi and about the group of dead girls laying around.
I swear. This town operates on the belief that everyone's probably some kind of good and sweet person at heart. I don't have the heart to tell them that those'll be the ones who'll slit their throat the moment they get an opening.
I'm just letting you know this right now: I never trusted Sachiko Hatsu in the first place, and I'm not going to start blindly trusting a girl who told me I'd regret peeking around the city.

Now on to something that actually matters...

This makes sense to Gary - so much sense it's annoying. He rolls his eyes and throws his head back with a sigh.]
Sounds about right. Taking advantage of her use is one thing but this blind trust is going to bite us in the ass.
[But actually, that makes him think of something.]
This Kouzai - did she seem as if she wasn't all there? Maybe a little lost from one sentence to the next?
