[It probably takes him a little bit to reply. He's pacing, cursing, pulling at his hair, but eventually when he bothers to pick up his phone and see Dave's stupid texts he calms down just enough to reply.

He shouldn't, but in hindsight cutting off Dave would be stupid. He already invested too much time in him. And he's a useful tool to have in his holster.

That being said, he's still pissed off about what just happened.

Take a deep breath, Gary. You're better than this, he tells himself.

He has to choose his words carefully. As much as he's inwardly cringing at his little freak out there, it helped him. Dave feels like shit now and he can use that to his favor. He can gain the upper hand again.

im realizing that now that like
you probably werent thinking too hard about what you were saying so it was dumb of me to take it that personally and focus on that one thing when there was so much else preoccupying your mind
looking back this whole situation is hells of embarrassing
